Rhodes Airport (RHO) is located just 16 km / 10 miles south-west of Rhodes Town, close to the village of Kremasti on the north coast of the Greek island of Rhodes.

The airport is a small facility that sees most of its passenger traffic during the summer season, when hotels are at their busiest as holidaymakers flock to the island for their annual beach vacation. With many business travellers also flying into the airport, there is a great demand for accommodation in the area.

Rhodes: City Hotels and Accommodation

Throughout the island of Rhodes you will find a huge selection of places to stay, with numerous hotels hugging the coastline. Accommodation is most plentiful in the following resorts and villages, many of which are located within walking distance of the beaches.

Rhodes Town
The capital of the island, Rhodes is known for its historic city walls and medieval past. With narrow alleyways and historic landmarks, many of the most historic Gothic-style buildings and best hotels lie in the heart of the Old City area, which is full of period charm. Further accommodation in Rhodes Town comes in the form of guest houses, taverns and homely inns, which are often located close to public squares, parklands, restaurants and shops. Notable tourist attractions in the city include the Palace of the Grand Masters and the Governor's Palace. A number of upmarket hotels provide luxury accommodation in Rhodes Town and blend in with the surrounding architecture, often featuring attractive grand Italianate facades.

Faliraki
Located on the north-eastern side of Rhodes, the resort of Faliraki has undergone an enormous transformation in recent years and was once a small fishing village. Now home to a plethora of resorts and bags of tourist appeal, Faliraki has become a bustling resort and is brimming with hotels, nightclubs, dining venues and clusters of shops.

Lindos
Located on the south-eastern coast of Rhodes, the town of Lindos enjoys an elevated position, where many popular hotels overlook the bay, forming an overall crescent shape. Full of attractive white-washed houses and cobbled courtyards, Lindos features a range of appealing architecture, with strong medieval and Byzantine influences.
